Brand Visuals for Ben's Biz, Writer Chronicling Minor League Baseball
It's a pleasure when personal passions (baseball) mix with professional projects and people I've gotten to know.
Creating an illustrated logo for Benjamin Hill of MiLB.com was one such occasion.
As a writer, Ben's Biz Blog beat is covering all of Minor League Baseball's promotions and operations. This takes him around the U.S. visiting ballparks, reporting on front office news, the latest stadium food offerings, new bobbleheads, uniforms unveilings -- you name it.
Ben's online blog and twitter feed are destinations for the latest happenings in the world of Minor League Baseball.
Best of all, Ben does it with a humorous touch and enthusiasm for the people around the game.
Ben was looking to capture his personality and mission in a single visual that could be applied to the blog and other online outlets. Who knows, maybe some merchandise someday, too.
Minor League Baseball logos have become known for being bold, lighthearted, fun marks for teams and their fans. There are some great ones out there.
We aimed for a solution in that spirit along with a nod to more classic baseball visuals.
This included secondary logo icons for use online and social media.
The Ben's Biz Blog background got a bit of an update, too, incorporating the new look and colors.
Big thanks to Ben! Wishing him continued success keeping tabs on MiLB for his audience. Look for him throwing out the first pitch at a Minor League Ballpark near you!
